The Folder Scout application is meant for all the users out there who want to be more efficient, for all the users who do not want to waste their precious time. The application provides a very efficient and fast means of accessing your folders. With a simple mouse click, you can access your main drives; by typing in a few letters, you can locate your folders and easily access them.

The system requirements for running Folder Scout are quite low: Intel Pentium or compatible processor, 256MB or RAM, and 5MB of disk space. 3.3MB is the size of the Folder Scout installation file. To install the application on your Windows-powered PC, you need only run said installation file. Once you do so, a setup wizard will show up; a few clicks later you will have Folder Scout up and running.

When Folder Scout runs, it sits in the background waiting for you to call upon it – you can bring the application into focus by hitting the F7 hotkey. By default, the application’s interface uses the Blue Scout color scheme; there are three other color schemes to choose from: Orange, Green, and Silver Scout.

To enjoy Folder Scout’s lightning fast folder locating capabilities, you must first add your drives to the catalog. You can do that by hitting the “Add/Refresh drive catalog” button in the upper left hand side or from the Catalog menu. Now, when you type a folder’s name in the Find Folder box, Folder Scout will look for said folder and present it to you; hit Enter or double click that folder to access it.

Folder Scout also keeps tracks of your recently accessed folders and documents. So if you accessed a folder/document a couple of minutes ago and you want to access it again, you can do so by clicking on the Recent Folders or Recent Docs tab.

On Folder Scout’s interface you will also see a list of all your drives. Click any of these drives and they will open in Windows Explorer. If you don’t want to see them, you can easily hide them out of sight.

The trial edition of Folder Scout can be used for free for 30 days. Once this trial period ends, to keep using the application, you can get a license for the Folder Scout Standard or Professional edition.

Quickly jump to your folders with Folder Scout’s help. This application provides lightning fast access to your folders.
